Facts

On August 15, 2015, Manasse Shenouda was driving in Ontario when his vehicle was unexpectedly struck by another vehicle driven by Barry Knutson. Manasse sustained injuries to his back, shoulder, thumb, wrist, and arm.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that Knutson negligently failed to yield to oncoming traffic before entering the intersection.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that plaintiff was comparatively at fault for the accident.

Result

The jury found for the plaintiff. It awarded an aggregate $41,470, which comprised of $31,470 in past medical costs and $10,000 in pain and suffering.
