Facts
Tyrone Love is 49-years old. He attended special education classes throughout his time in school. He dropped out in ninth or tenth grade. His employment record was spotty, at best. On July 31, 2014, Love filed a claim for social security disability, seeking benefits retroactive to September 1, 2004. The Administrative Law Judge denied his claim.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff's claim for disability was based upon his physical, intellectual and mental disorders, including but not limited to learning and neurocognitive disorders, major depressive disorder, personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that plaintiff was not disabled within the meaning of the social security statute. Defendant contended that plaintiff could perform light work, despite his anxieties.
Result
The court granted defendant's motion for summary judgment. The ALJ's decision was supported by substantial evidence and free of legal error.
