Plaintiff Anthony Jones sought judicial review of the denial of plaintiff's application for supplemental social security and disability insurance benefits.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:Plaintiff was alleged to have suffered from degenerative joint disease, cervical degenerative joint disease, major depressive disorder, and social anxiety disorder. Plaintiff contended the Administrative Law Judge erred when it concluded plaintiff was not disabled. Plaintiff contended the ALJ improperly rejected his subjective complaints of limitations due to his physical and mental impairments. Plaintiff further contended the ALJ applied incorrect legal standards and his conclusion was not supported by substantial evidence.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied plaintiff's contentions, and further contended it disregarded plaintiff's testimony because his statements were inconsistent with his daily activities.
Result
The court granted defendant's motion for summary judgment with prejudice after it concluded the ALJ's decision was based on substantial evidence.
