Facts

Plaintiff Cheryl Martin sought judicial review of the denial of plaintiff's application for supplemental social security and disability insurance benefits.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:Plaintiff was alleged to have suffered from back injuries, knee injuries, arthritis, nerves, depression, constant fatigue, recurring diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, fatty liver, and low blood sugar. Plaintiff contended the Administrative Law Judge erred when it concluded plaintiff was not disabled. Plaintiff contended the ALJ improperly rejected the severity of plaintiff's impairments. Plaintiff further contended the ALJ improperly weighed the medical opinions of Dr. Mdhmaz Hojjati, a rheumatologist who treated plaintiff for bromyalgia. Plaintiff also contended the ALJ improperly discounted his credibility.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied plaintiff's contentions, and further contended it disregarded her testimony because she maintained the residual functional capacity to perform light work. Further, defendant contended plaintiff was not disabled because she could have worked as an eligibility worker or as a library assistant.

Result

The court granted plaintiff's motion for summary judgment and reversed and remanded the ALJ's decision.
