Plaintiff, Lisa Sopko, alleged medical negligence arising out of care and treatment rendered to her by oral surgeon Grant McGann, D.D.S., and subsequently by The Regents of the University of California and Earl Freymiller, D.M.D. Plaintiff alleged she experienced an injury to her inferior alveolar nerve after undergoing extraction of her wisdom teeth with Dr. McGann. She alleged she experienced a second injury to her mental nerve during a subsequent surgery performed by The Regents and Dr. Freymiller.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged professional negligence and fraud against Dr. McGann, The Regents and Dr. Freymiller.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all allegations against them, and contended their care and treatment complied with the standard of care at all times.

Defendants also disputed the nature and extent of plaintiff's damages.

The jury found for the defense.
