Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendant reversed his vehicle into plaintiff's vehicle when the two were stopped at a stop sign in a parking lot. Plaintiff further contended that the impact caused plaintiff's vehicle to move backward and plaintiff to sustain neck injuries. Plaintiff further contended that defendant was negligent in operating his vehicle and therefore liable for plaintiff's injuries.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant admitted liability.
Damages
Plaintiff asked the jury to award $536,998.
Injuries
Raymond Lange suffered sprains and strains to his cervix and general neck pain. Lange also suffered from injuries he claimed would eventually require a C5-6 and C6-7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.

The jury awarded plaintiff a $10,524 verdict.
