Facts

Chim Sun Kim was driving in Long Beach when a truck operated by Don McGraw collided with the passenger side of Kim's vehicle. The two were near a restaurant parking lot that Kim was exiting at the time.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that the collision resulted in neck and back injuries caused by defendant's negligent driving. Plaintiff further contended through an expert witness that the collision was significant enough to cause plaintiffs injuries.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant accepted liability but contended that plaintiff exaggerated the extent of plaintiff's injuries. Defendant further contended that plaintiffs injuries and medical procedures were due to plaintiff's degenerative condition.

Result

The jury awarded plaintiff a $10,500 verdict after finding defendant's negligence caused the collision and plaintiff's injuries.
