Plaintiff Luz de Verano Cervantes filed a lawsuit against Defendant the City and County of San Francisco in relation to a vehicle collision.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended Pasanio Taufa, an employee of defendant, operated a vehicle that collided with Plaintiff and caused injuries to Plaintiff's neck and back. Plaintiff further contended Defendant owned, operated, and maintained the vehicle, and was thus responsible for the resulting injuries.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied the contentions and contended it was entitled to qualified immunity and that Plaintiff contributed to the collision.

Result

The parties agreed to settle for $49,500.
