Facts

Plaintiff Keyvan Nassiri Motlagh, as guardian ad litem for Plaintiff Mahindokht Sanei Khansari, filed suit against Defendants Macy's Corporate Services, Inc., Macy's Retail Holding, Inc., Macy's West Stores, Inc., for personal injury damages that resulted from an escalator incident on June 17, 2016. Plaintiffs asserted causes of action for general negligence and premises liability.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that they fell on an escalator while they were shopping at Macy's. Plaintiffs contended Defendants were negligent in their maintenance of the escalator, which caused plaintiffs to fall and sustain injuries.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied Plaintiffs'contentions and any wrongdoing.

Result

The parties settled for $12,500.
