Facts
On January 29, 2019, plaintiff Rebecca Bridges turned left from Main Street in Ventura towards the parking lot on a busy commercial street when she was struck broadside by defendant Christian Lingo driving a Honda sedan. The broadside collision caused the plaintiff's Prius to flip onto its side.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendant was negligent in the operation of his vehicle and was speeding.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions. Defendant contended that plaintiff made an unsafe left turn.

Injuries
Plaintiff is 52 years old and employed as a registered nurse. She suffered a fractured pelvis, a cervical spine wedge fracture and right elbow contusion. She was hospitalized for a week and wheelchair bound for five weeks. She recovered from her injuries without surgery.
Result
The case settled for $650,000 before David Karen, Esq., Mediator.
