Plaintiff Kamaldeep K. Rider, pro se, filed a lawsuit against defendant JPMorgan Chase Bank for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendant failed to notify plaintiff that defendant would report a "negative credit item." Plaintiff contended that defendant does not have a right to report plaintiff's credit to credit reporting companies.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that plaintiff's complaint was frivolous, unreasonable and constituted harassment.

Result

The court granted defendant's motion to dismiss plaintiff's complaint with prejudice. The court ordered plaintiff to pay defendant $6,900.67 in attorneys' fees and $16.67 in costs.
