Facts

Felix Perez brought a putative class action against his employer CVS Health Corporation. Perez alleged CVS violated provisions of the California Labor Code by not compensating him and the class members for the time they spent waiting to undergo security checks of their personal bags.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that Defendant violated the Labor Code by failing to compensate for the time spent waiting to go undergo security checks prior to and at the end of their shifts and when they returned from meal and rest breaks.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all of the contentions.

Result

The case settled for $1,850,000.
