Plaintiffs, Donna Connary, Zoriana Pawluk-Florio, Adrienne Andry, and Paul Torrecillas filed a class action suit against Defendant S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. Defendant, S.CL. Johnson manufactures the Method brand of products including all-purpose, dish, bathroom, wood, glass, floor and pet cleaners.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs alleged that certain Method product labels and also, website, falsely state that the products are "nontoxic" and "planet-friendly" because of the language used on the products from May 14, 2016 to May 13, 2021.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions.
Result
The case settled for $2.25 million. Class members who have proof of purchase may claim seeking $1 for every covered product purchased. Class members who do not have proof of purchase may seek reimbursement of $1 for up to 10 products purchased.
