Karen Ramirez Smith filed an action against PIH Health Hospital-Whittier, Parham Farahat, M.D., and Brian Yue, M.D., for medical negligence. Defendant Brian Yue M.D., moved for summary judgment.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended defendants negligently caused her injuries. Plaintiff made no opposition to Defendant Brian Yue, M.D.'s motion for summary judgment.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied plaintiffs allegations. Defendant contended it is entitled to summary judgment because the care and treatment of plaintiff complied with the standard of care at all times and no negligent act or omission caused or contributed to plaintiff's damages. Defendant contended Dr. Lawrence Cohen, M.D. opined that defendant acted within the standard of care in their treatment of plaintiff, and that to a reasonable degree of medical probability, no action or inaction on part of defendant caused or substantially caused plaintiff's injuries.

Defendant Brian Yue, M.D.'s summary judgment is granted.
