Facts

Anne Marie Welsh was walking near 414 Nautilus Street in La Jolla, California when she tripped and fell on a section of city property. She filed suit against the City of San Diego.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that the City of San Diego was negligent in allowing the dangerous condition that resulted in causing her injuries. The sidewalk panels were raised in front of that address that caused the sidewalk surface to lift.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all contentions.

Result

The parties agreed to settle for $117,000.
