On Sept. 4, 2015, plaintiff Boris Tadevosyan went to A to Z Dental for a consultation for getting dentures and was told the cost would be $2,000. Plaintiff was referred to defendant Lawrence Wolff, D.D.S. who plaintiff believed was only going to extract teeth and provide implants.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff claimed professional negligence; lack of informed consent; and medical battery. Plaintiff alleged defendant did two negligent surgical procedures. Plaintiff returned to A to Z with hardware provided by defendant, but the clinic informed plaintiff the hardware was completely different than originally requested, and that the treatment would now cost $12,000.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant claimed that plaintiff did not comply with the one year statute of limitations.
