Facts

On October 7, 2019, Colette Haggar tripped and fell on an uneven sidewalk caused by a tree root near 19708 Colima Road in Rowland Heights. Haggar subsequently filed suit against the County of Los Angeles.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that she suffered severe injuries and damages as a result of a dangerous condition present on a sidewalk maintained by defendant's Department of Public Works.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all contentions.

Result

The case settled for $75,000.
