Plaintiffs alleged that their high school track coach gave them inappropriate massages in 2013 and 2014. Nobody had complained about the coach during his 10 years of coaching at the high school.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs allege defendant was negligent in supervising the coach and allowing coaches to provide massages to the legs and glutes of high school athletes.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that high school coaches providing low level treatments to athletes is commonplace and within the standard of care. Defendant had no notice the coach posed a foreseeable risk of harm to student athletes.
