On April 17, 2020, plaintiff Andre Lopez, while working as a flag man for a construction project at Los Angeles International Airport, was struck by a truck operated by defendant's employee and thrown approximately 25 feet. Lopez was knocked unconscious and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Lopez was admitted to Casa Colina's transitional living center program to treat his traumatic brain injury.
Liability and the extent of Lopez's injuries were disputed.
