On May 29, 2020, Andres Campos individually on behalf of himself and other persons similarly situated filed a class action against Converse, Inc. in the San Bernardino Superior Court, alleging various wage and hour violations. The class included all non-exempt employee employed by Converse, Inc. at its two warehouse facilities in California from May 29, 2016, to April 21, 2022.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that he and the class members were not paid for all hours worked, subjected to the control of defendant while passing through a mandatory exit security process but not paid for that time, and not provided meal and rest periods in accordance with California law.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all contentions.
Result
Converse agreed to pay $450,000 to settle the claims.
