Miguel Aguila filed a class action suit against Global Truss America, ADJ Products, Acclaim Lighting, and Elation Lighting, alleging unlawful wage-and-hour practices. He represented non-exempt, hourly employees who worked for those entities between December 22, 2017 and January 31, 2022.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendants engaged in the following unlawful practices: failure to pay for all hours worked; failure to provide meal and rest periods; failure to provide accurate wage statements; and failure to pay timely wages including on termination.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all allegations, contending they fully complied with the law.
Settlement Discussions
The parties began mediation on January 13, 2022 before Louis Marlin, Esquire, reaching a settlement on January 31, 2022.
Result
The parties agreed to settle for $335,000.
