Facts

Willard D. Richardson and Jamie Yeomans, individually and in their representative capacity on behalf of the settlement class, brought a class action against IKEA North America Services, LLC and IKEA US RETAIL LLC. The class included all persons in the United States who, between October 18, 2017, and December 31, 2019, engaged in one or more transactions using a debit card or credit card at any IKEA retail store within the United States and was thereupon provided an electronically printed receipt displaying the first six and the last four digits of the credit or debit number used in connection with such transactions. On October 5, 2020, the parties participated in a formal confidential mediation session with a mediator in Los Angeles, California. The parties then took part in a second mediation session with mediator Infante during which they were able to reach an agreement in principle.
