Facts
Aaron Harbour, Esther Williams, and Brandon Muse, pursuant to the Private Attorney General Act, filed actions against their former employer, a provider of security services. These actions were coordinated in Santa Clara Superior Court. The actions alleged various Labor Code violations. The class included all persons employed by defendant in California from November 21, 2017 to June 5, 2020.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs alleged that defendant failed to pay all regular wages, minimum wages, and overtime wages; failed to provide proper meal and rest breaks, and properly provide premium pay in lieu thereof; failed to provide compliant wage statements; failed to reimburse for business expenses; and failed to provide earned vacation pay.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all plaintiff's contentions.
Result
Defendant agreed to pay $3,000,000 to settle all claims.
