Facts

On April 26, 2021, Ricardo Antonio Cano Altairano, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, brought a class action against In Home Installations Inc., AM Home Delivery & Trucking Inc., and White Glove Delivery of California, Inc., alleging various Labor Code violations. The class included all individuals who are or were employed by defendants as drivers/installers who performed driving duties California from April 26, 2017, through November 16, 2022. Defendants estimated that the settlement class consisted of approximately 90 class members that worked a total of approximately 4,072 workweeks during the class period.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that defendants failed to: pay all minimum wages, pay all overtime wages, provide rest periods and pay missed rest period premiums, provide meal periods and pay missed meal period premiums, maintain accurate employment records, timely pay wages during employment, pay all wages earned upon separation, indemnify all necessary business expenditures, and furnish accurate itemized wage statements for its California employees during the relevant time period.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all contentions.

Result

Defendants agreed to pay $188,000 to resolve all claims.
