Facts

Plaintiff Devin Teague filed a class action and representative PAGA action against Defendants Happy Express, Inc. and Andrey Oganesyan, alleging class and representative PAGA claims, including: (1) failure to pay minimum wages; (2) failure to pay for rest and recovery periods; (3) failure to reimburse business expenses; (4) failure to timely pay final wages; (5) failure to provide accurate itemized wage statements; and (6) unfair and unlawful competition under California Business and Professions Code Sections 17200 et seq.

Result

Defendants agreed to a settlement amount of $200,000. Of that amount, the parties designated $7,500 for Plaintiff; $20,000 for attorneys' fees and costs; $6,000 for administration costs; and $20,000 in PAGA Penalties.
