On May 10, 2022, Hung Pham, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, brought a class action against Wood Tech Inc., Wood Tech's owner Juan D. Figueroa, and Herbert G. Vega, alleging various Labor Code violations. The class included of all persons who are employed or have been employed as an hourly employee by Wood Tech, Inc. in the State of California from May 10, 2018, through April 4, 2023.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendants failed to: pay for all hours worked, pay minimum wages, pay overtime, provide proper meal and rest periods, timely pay all wages owed at termination, and provide accurate wage statements for its California employees.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all contentions.
Result
Defendants agreed to pay $2 million to settle all claims.
