On September 27, 2022, Robert Burton, Douglas Kirkland, Edward Martinez, and Lawrence Henderson filed wage-and-hour complaint violations in Los Angeles Superior against Ambulance Productions LLC. They sought to bring the claims on behalf of five classes of traffic control officers.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs alleged Labor Code violations stemming from defendant's purported: failure to pay wages and/or final wages; failure to provide itemized wage statements; failure to provide proper rest and meal periods; improper classification of employees as independent contractors; failure to reimburse necessary business expenses; failure to pay minimum and overtime wages; and failure to keep complete and accurate payroll records; and Private Attorney General Act civil penalties.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all contentions.

Result

The case settled for $200,000.
