Facts

On October 14, 2020, Victor Ramirez, Mostafa Gad, and Carlos Martinez Banaga, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, brought a class action against St. George Auto Sales Inc. and St. George Auto Center Inc., alleging various wage and hour violations. The class included all current and former non-exempt employees who are or were employed by defendants in California at any time from March 19, 2015, through December 31, 2022. The class specifically excluded all officers, owners, members of defendants or defendants' related entities, and any and all members of the owners' family.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs alleged that defendants failed to: pay minimum wages, pay overtime wages, authorize or provide meal periods, authorize or permit rest periods, reimburse necessary business expenses, furnish accurate itemized wage statements, and pay wages upon separation of employment for its non-exempt California employees during the class period.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all contentions.

Result

Defendants agreed to pay $2,237,552 to settle all claims.
