Facts

Bin Yang filed suit against Allstate Insurance Company in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Allstate had the case removed to the Central District of California.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Yang contended that she had renter and auto insurance policies with Allstate; that a unit she rented had been broken into by her former landlord and Amazon; and that they had stolen or thrown away her property. Yang contended that her Allstate policies covered the storage location; that the breaking of the lock and removal of the property occurred during the coverage period; and that Allstate should have covered her alleged losses. Yang contended that Allstate denied her claim, which she argued was a breach of their contract, and she also alleged causes of action for bad faith and fraud on the court.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Allstate denied any wrongdoing or liability and all the plaintiff's material allegations.

Result

The court granted judgement in favor of Allstate.
