Plaintiff Ramona Murillo Gamboa filed a personal injury action arising out of a slip-and-fall accident which occurred on June 20, 2018 on an escalator at Los Angeles World Airports (LAX).
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that defendants failed to provide her with a wheelchair as allegedly requested through her travel agent and that defendants failed to properly maintain the subject escalator in Terminal 2 at LAX.
Injuries
Plaintiff suffered a broken arm.
Result
The Court granted in full the summary judgment motions filed by defendants Los Angeles World Airways, City of Los Angeles, and Concesionaria Vuela Compania de Aviacion S.A.P.I. De C.V. The Court dismissed all seven of plaintiff's claims against defendants for premises liability; dangerous condition of public property; breach of duty of a common carrier; negligence; general negligence; negligent hiring; and negligence per se.
