Facts

Plaintiff Maria Quintanilla brought an action against the United States of America under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Plaintiff alleged that in June of 2020, she tripped on an entrance mat at a Post Office in Santa Ana, resulting in severe injuries. She asserted claims for negligence and sought damages. The United States moved for judgment on partial findings under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 52(c).

Result

The court granted the Government's motion and entered judgment in favor of the United States.
