Facts

Plaintiffs Tai Hang and Robert Canales filed a class action suit against Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., alleging various wage and hour claims, including failure to provide legally compliant rest periods and failure to timely furnish accurate wage statements. The parties agreed to settle the case.

Result

The court approved a $2,850,000 settlement. Of that amount, the parties allocated $832,199.67 for attorneys' fees; $20,038 for litigation expenses; $50,000 for PAGA penalties; $10,000 for Tai Hang; $7,500 for Robert Canales; and $26,000 for administration costs.
