On May 19, 2022, Patrick Marks sued the City and County of San Francisco, alleging personal injury on a City sidewalk.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that on September 1, 2021, he was walking on the sidewalk outside the property located at 4166 24th Street when he encountered a sidewalk defect caused by defendant's removal of a tree. Plaintiff tripped and fell due to the defect and was subsequently injured.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied all material allegations.

Result

An ordinance authorized settlement of the case for $55,000.
