Facts

On November 12, 2020, Plaintiff Ralph Harris suffered numerous injuries after tripping on an elevated concrete sidewalk slab on Octavia Street, between Bush and Sutter Streets. He alleged that Defendants, the City of San Francisco et al were liable for failing to maintain the safety of the sidewalk.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that Defendants' failure to keep the public property in safe condition amounted to negligence, premises liability and creating a dangerous condition of public property in violation of the Government Code.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied all contentions.

Result

The City of San Francisco agreed to pay $400,000 to settle all claims.
