Facts

This case arose from a traffic collision involving Plaintiff Sandra Otero-Carrero and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Matthew Sander. Sander's car collided with Plaintiff's after he was driving through an intersection in response to an emergency. An investigation determined that Sander caused the traffic collision, in violation of California Vehicle Code Section 22350, a provision prohibiting driving at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and width of the highway.

Result

The case settled for $150,000.
