On October 20, 1992, Plaintiff Louis Liberi, a 78-year-old retired laundry presser, was driving a 1977 Cadillac on Sunset Boulevard, near Descanzo when Defendant's vehicle struck Plaintiff in a rear-end collision. Defendant Timothy Johnson was driving a 1987 GMC van and was in the course and scope of his employment with Defendant City of Los Angeles.
