Facts

On September 22, 1991, Defendant gas company received a telephone call from a neighbor of Plaintiffs' parents, reporting a gas leak and the smell of gas from the Plaintiffs' residence. The Defendant gas company's dispatcher did not dispatch anyone to check out the alleged leak. Two days later on September 24, 1991, at 11:00 p.m. the Plaintiff family residence was totally destroyed by a natural gas explosion. The Plaintiff children, a 5-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy, received burns over 50% of their bodies.
