Facts
In July of 1990 Plaintiff Dianne Eastman, a 56-year-old CEO for Eastman Products, Inc., underwent hip revision surgery at Defendant UCSF Hospital. Defendant surgeon Dr. Harry B. Skinner elected to facilitate removal of the cement with a subtrochanteric osteotomy and secured the site with an S-Rom prosthesis. Six days post-op, the hip dislocated resulting in multiple fractures at the site of the osteotomy.
