On May 18, 1991, Plaintiff Janis Pedroche, a 40-year-old real estate agent, was proceeding northbound on Santa Anita Avenue. She alleged that as she was about to make a right hand turn into an In-&-Out Burger drive-through, Defendant Keith Mioni's vehicle attempted to pass her vehicle on the right at an excessive speed, resulting in a sideswipe collision between the vehicles.
