Facts
On May 31, 1992, Plaintiff Wagdy Dawood, a 29-year-old auto-body repair dealer, began drinking alcohol in the morning. He then picked up a ski boat and several friends. The drinking continued through the day. In the evening, after a day of skiing, Plaintiff jumped out of the boat while it was moving. Defendant Sarah Wright took over the wheel of the boat; she had limited experience driving a boat. The boat and propeller struck Plaintiff and caused him serious injury.
