Facts
On April 29, 1992, Plaintiff Melvin Patterson, a 31-year-old heavy equipment operator, was traveling on Hobsonway in Blythe. Defendant Kathleen Friedman was coming out of a shopping center when she made a left-hand turn across Plaintiff's lane of traffic and struck Patterson's vehicle. Patterson admitted he was driving 10 mph in excess of the posted speed limit of 30 mph.
