Facts
On October 9, 1991, at approximately 8:25 a.m., Plaintiff, a 33-year-old legal secretary, was driving her 1990 Geo Tracker westbound in the number one lane on Verdugo Avenue, approaching Keystone Street at approximately 30 mph. Defendant was traveling northbound on Keystone and allegedly proceeded into the intersection against the red light. Plaintiff applied her brakes in an attempt to avoid Defendant, but struck the passenger side of Defendant's vehicle.
Settlement Discussions
Plaintiff contends that they initially demanded $50,000 and Defendant's insurance company offered $12,000. Plaintiff further contends that they then demanded the $57,500 arbitration award and Defendant's insurance company offered $35,000.
