On September 17, 1991, Plaintiff Sandra Lucero, a 30-year-old machine operator and aspiring makeup artist, tripped on the back stairs of Defendant Gazzari's nightclub. Defendant called Larry Casler, an investigator who examined the premises approximately one month subsequent to the incident, who testified there was nothing wrong with the stairs.
