On September 30, 1992, Plaintiff Harry Slankowski, a 48-year-old vice president in the high technology computer industry, was driving northbound on Bristol in Newport Beach, when Defendant David Rivera, driving a van on Jamboree, ran a red light and struck Plaintiff's vehicle in a broadside collision. The impact caused total damages to Plaintiff's vehicle. Defendant Rivera was in the course and scope of his employment with Defendant Morgan Services, Inc. Defendants admitted liability.
