Facts
On December 9, 1991, Plaintiff, a 31-year-old environmental cleanup technician, injured his left knee while employed by an industrial cleanup company on the Defendant petroleum company's drilling platform, off the coast of California. While attempting to transfer from a work boat owned by a second Defendant, Plaintiff slipped on the rail of a crew boat owned by a third Defendant. Plaintiff was his employer's safety man.
