In December of 1992, Plaintiff Louise Richardson, a 55-year-old registered nurse, slipped and fell while walking on a concrete sidewalk outside her daughter's apartment. She was wearing new shoes designed by Defendant Impo International and sold by Defendant The May Department Stores Company dba Robinson's May.
