On April 25, 1990, Plaintiff Shirley Tipping, a 24-year-old real estate appraiser who was 9 months pregnant, lost her footing and slid down a flight of stairs at Defendants Alfred and Saveria Haag's residence. Plaintiff was in the process of appraising the house because it was in escrow, pending sale. Industrial Indemnity Company paid Plaintiff $36,118 for the injuries she sustained while in the course and scope of her employment.
