Facts
On July 15, 1993, Plaintiffs Zeffie Karam, a 59-year-old part-time receptionist and billing clerk, and Daniel Karam, a 65-year-old retiree, were stopped at a stoplight. Defendant Ryan Bruce was stopped behind them. Although the light changed green, the vehicles ahead of Plaintiffs did not move forward. Defendant believed that the traffic was starting to move and subsequently took his foot off the brake, rolled forward, and struck Plaintiffs' vehicle in a rear end collision. Defendant Ryan Bruce was driving a vehicle owned by his father, Defendant Randy Bruce.
