On May 11, 1994, plaintiff Cynthia Baricza, a 35-year-old auto parts clerk/driver, was traveling eastbound on Ohio Street near Barrington in Los Angeles. The plaintiff was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup. As she was stopped for traffic, the plaintiff was rear ended by a vehicle operated by defendant Stuart Lansky. Defendant Lansky was driving a 1971 Volkswagen square-back. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence theories of recovey.
