On Dec. 14, 1993, plaintiff Paul Newman, an 84-year-old retiree, was driving his vehicle northbound on Wetherly Drive in Beverly Hills. Defendant Doris Moshein was driving westbound on Gregory Way. The parties' vehicles collided in the intersection of Wetherly and Gregory. Both streets had stop signs at the intersection. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence theories of recovery.
